Lucas Swineford, Executive Director of Digital Education at the Yale Center for Teaching and Learning, will be visiting Yale-NUS and delivering a talk titled “The Digital Education Landscape” on 23 March 2017 (Thursday), 5PM – 6PM at Saga Lecture Theatre 1

Abstract: The term “online education” had been used for many years to describe a distant learning activity delivered over the internet. In 2017, Digital Education encompasses a wide spectrum of teaching and learning activities. From massive, open, online courses (MOOCs) to technology-enhanced residential courses to blended degree programs, Yale University is engaged in activities throughout this exciting environment. Lucas Swineford, the Executive Director for Digital Education at the Yale University Center for Teaching and Learning will discuss the University’s Digital Education strategy by sharing examples of their current activities.
