Starting a New Semester & Creating an Inclusive Classroom Environment

23 August 2018 (Thu) , 12pm - 1pm
At CTL Office

The CTL invites you to a Teaching and Tonics event, a collegial sharing and discussion session on “Starting a New Semester and Creating an Inclusive Classroom Environment.” This is an informal opportunity for our new and more seasoned faculty to share their strategies and get some new ideas. Professors Shaffique Adam (Physics) and Malcolm Keating (Philosophy) will kick off the session by sharing some of their own strategies for cultivating an inclusive environment early in the semester. All faculty are invited to come and share strategies and experiences with their colleagues.

The CTL will be providing lunch, and tonics, for the event. Please indicate if you are likely to attend HERE so we can order accordingly.

Teaching and Tonics are informal opportunities for faculty to discuss pedagogy, share their own practices about teaching, and build community over good conversation, food, and drink. If you have a topic to suggest or want to co-host a TnT yourself, please contact the CTL (
